PADI SCUBA Diving courses.

Why learn to dive in Tenerife?

Tenerife is the island of the eternal spring. It offers all year round warm temperatures. The water temperature varies from 20C in the winter to 26C in the summer. Visibility on averages is 20 metres with a variety of sea life from small puffer fish to giant Manta rays.

Course: SCUBA Diver
Duration: 2 days
Prerequisites:

Self certified medical (click here to download)

Permitted depth: 12m (with certified assistant)
Description:

Day one:

Confined water training,
Theory and quizzes.

Day two:

Open water dives 1 and 2,
Theory and quizzes.

If you don't have enough time to complete the open water course then this course is perfect. It can be upgraded to Open Water Diver on your next trip.

   
Course: Open Water Diver
Duration: 4/5 days
Prerequisites:

Self certified medical (click here to download)

Permitted depth: 18m
Description:

Day one:

Confined water dives 1 and 2.
Theory and quizzes.

Day two:

Confined water dives 3, 4 and 5
Theory and quizzes.

Day three:

Open water dives 1 and 2
Theory and quizzes

Day four / five:

Open water dives 4 and 5
Final Exam

Entry level qualification into SCUBA diving. This course is a prerequisite for all other PADI dive courses.

   
Course: Advanced Diver (Adventure Diver)
Duration: 5 Speciality dives (Adventure diver: 3)
Prerequisites:

Open water diver (or equivilient), Self certified medical (click here to download)

Permitted depth: Maximum 30m
Description:

2 core dives:

  • deep (30m)
  • navigation.

3 from a choice of:

  • AWARE (fish identification)
  • Boat
  • Drift
  • Multi level and computer
  • Night
  • Search and recovery
  • Underwater naturalist
  • Wreck

Training beyond open water qualification to gain experience and confidence in the SCUBA Diving sport.

   
Course: Rescue Diver
Duration: 4 days
Prerequisites:

PADI Advanced diver or equivilent, 20 or more logged dives, EFR or other current CPR and First aid qualification, Self certified medical (click here to download)

Permitted depth: Maximum 30m
Description:

You will learn:

  • Self Rescue skills
  • Search and recovery
  • EAR (Emergency Air Resusitation)
  • How to deal with a panicking diver on the surface and underwater.
  • How to tow a tired diver
  • How to organise evacuation of a diving victim from both shore and boat
  • How to deal with an unconciousnes diver both on the surface and underwater
  • How to respond quickly to diving emergencies.
